Neighbourhood Watches

Neighbourhood watches in the Fish Hoek police precinct are growing from strength to strength and have been vital in keeping the crime rates down and aiding the police with arrests. The police, short-staffed as they are, can’t be everywhere all the time and it is the residents who know their neighbourhoods best who can best help the police. Working through the 22 registered neighbourhood watches, there is a constant flow of information from the community to the police and from one neighbourhood watch to another. The neighbourhood watches, from Noordhoek right through to Clovelly, have joined together to form the Neighbourhood Watch Managment Team to work on joint projects, from the training of neighbourhood patrollers to the sharing of our community’s formidable skills. If you would like to find out about a neighbourhood watch in your area, phone 082 782 6333.

To every single neighbourhood watch member!!!   “We Thank YOU

With Christmas upon us and the New Year just days away, I would like to thank each and every one of you for the fantastic job you did the past year by helping us to make our community a safer place.  You are all extraordinary people who make me proud to be a South African, to know that there are still people out there who care.  I got to know so many of you and hope to meet many more in 2010.

Thank you all for your hard work, friendliness and assistance.  May you and your families have a peaceful and safe Festive Season!

“Let the criminals of 2010 knows that we will not stand back for them and that they are being watched!!!”

From Cst.  Danie Hanekom and C-Shift
