Hopefully the missing kitten has been found ….we have not heard. But we have heard from Charms as a result – see below . We wish her a happy and fulfilling stay in Fish Hoek in the near future!

Hello
I am relocting to Fish Hoek at the end of the year. I am a single, mature lady who works out in the Northern Suburbs but fell in love with Fish Hoek. I have had several of my poems published and wish to continue with my creative writing. How do I become involved in the community and also make new friends?
Kind regards
Charms (short for Charmaine)
The best thing to do would be to get involved in the community. There are so many organisations in Fish Hoek and the surrounding areas – you are sure to find one or more that suits your interests. Have a look at the pages under the Community button on our website which feature the the various clubs and societies. There is an active Fish Hoek Writers’ group which meets once a month. There are numerous organisations that would be grateful for an extra pair of hands. And, of course, there is our beach! Just sitting on a bench overlooking the sea and starting a happy conversation with the person beside you could lead you into a whole new social circle!
Keep abreast with what is happening in the Scenic South and feel free to send us some of your writing and poems!
Wishing you a stressfree move and happy settling. Viv
