Neighbourhood Watches
Featuring the Neighbourhood Watches of Fish Hoek, Muizenberg, Simon’s Town, Kalk Bay, St James, Kommetjie, Noordhoek, Ocean View, Masiphumelele, Glencairn and Clovelly
Neighbourhood watches in the Fish Hoek police precinct are growing from strength to strength and have been vital in keeping the crime rates down and aiding the police with arrests. The police, short-staffed as they are, can’t be everywhere all the time and it is the residents who know their neighbourhoods best who can best help the police. Working through the 22 registered neighbourhood watches, there is a constant flow of information from the community to the police and from one neighbourhood watch to another.
The neighbourhood watches, from Noordhoek right through to Clovelly, have joined together to form the Neighbourhood Watch Managment Team to work on joint projects, from the training of neighbourhood patrollers to the sharing of our community’s formidable skills. If you would like to find out about a neighbourhood watch in your area, phone 082 782 6333.

Community Police Forum
The Community Police Forums serve the general public in such a way as to act as a middleman between the public and the police, addressing issues which the public may have against the police in terms of service delivery, non-return of phone calls etc. This is an independent service introduced by Government to ensure that the police may be held fully accountable for their actions. Phone your local police stations for details of your local forum.
