Shark Spotters comedy legends starring Barry Hilton & Mike King – 11 Feb

These two international comedians and friends, will perform together on stage in a  no-holds barred comedy show at Fish Hoek High School on 11 February 2012, as part of the Comedy Legends in the Valley series in aid of Shark Spotters.  Tickets are R100 pre booked or R120 on the door. Kalk Bay Fish Fare - 3 March 2012

 

Enjoy freshly prepared fare from the sea with your family and friends at the annual Fish Fare at the Holy Trinity Church in Kalk Bay. Beer garden, live music, entertainment for the kids and much more. 10.30am – 6pm. Entrance R5 includes free raffle ticket.

 

Friends of Silvermine Nature Area Walks Programme: January – 30 April 2011

FOSNA has a varied walks programme which provides the opportunity to explore the Southern Peninsula Mountains with friendly and knowledgable people. They also have regular alien vegetation clearing meets which are both good exercise and help to protect our magnificent fynbos flora. Visitors welcome. The Muizenberg Moonlight Meander is held each month on the Saturday closest to full moon – bring the family.   Organised by SAFER TOGETHER to raise funds for safety related projects in  Greater Muizenberg, and create opportunities for people in the community to get to know one another. Marina da Gama Talent Market - Last Sunday of every month

Muizenberg Friday Market – every Friday 3 to 9pm

An exciting neighbourhood food and goods market in the heart of Muizenberg operates from an old warehouse in Albertyn Road, behind a very funky coffee shop, Kitch Kombuis, every Friday 3 to 9pm. On sale are wonderful handmade goods from incredibly talented artisans in and around the Muizenberg area – everything from beautiful handmade silver jewellery to clothing, art, interiors, kids clothing etc. We also have a separate Kids Area ensuring kids are safe and taken care of while parents enjoy the evening drinking wonderful wine and eating gorgeous food. SAS Assegaai – Museum Submarine

Zoomball Sundays:

Zoomball will take place every Sunday weather permitting from 1 – 5pm. Zoomball is a racquet sport that can be played indoors or outdoors and is a combination of tennis and squash. Off-the-Wall Poetry Recitals

There are regular “Off-the-Wall” poetry readings at Kalk Bay Books every second and fourth Wednesday, and at Espresso Dot Kom (Kommetjie) every first Monday. Both events start at 7pm.  There is usually a “Featured Poet”, and always an Open Mike session when anybody can read a couple of poems of their own or of others.
